The riverland's dry, warm climate and year-round sun and close proximity to Adelaide, makes Renmark the ideal weekend getaway.

Conveniently located 260km north-east of Adelaide, Renmark is one of the 5 major towns forming the Riverland Region and an ideal launching pad from which to explore the region. All five townships, Renmark, Berri, Loxton, Barmera and Waikerie, are but a short drive from one another, making short trips to visit the many attractions around the region easy and enjoyable. A host of smaller river townships, such as the nearby town of Paringa, add to the many things for you to see and do.

The magnificent Murray River offers an unlimited array of activities for visitors to enjoy, with water-sports, paddleboat trips, beautiful riverfront picnic spots, walking trails, bird spotting and breath taking lookouts just to name a few.

Although best known for the Murray River, the attractions don't stop there with activities ranging from wine tasting, coffee shops, golfing, tenpin bowling, adventure playgrounds, art-galleries, rose gardens, fresh produce and farmers markets to antique shops- there is something to suit all ages and interest! Be sure to set aside an hour or two to check out the thousands of varieties of blooms on show at Ruston's spectacular rose garden, it is home to the National Rose Collection of Australia and don't forget the award winning Banrock Station Wine and Wetland Centre.
